Beacons Festival might have only been around for a couple of years but in that short time it has lit up festival goer’s radars and see demand push this boutiques capacity up to 7,500.The Beacons Festival organisers have worked to ensure a solid mixture of genres and reputations. Amongst the array of marquees shoe-gazers, indie kids and Bassheads are all well catered for. Add excellent sound setups and close proximity to acts and Beacons Festival is, and probably most importantly, a great place to listen to amazing music. NEW AND IMPROVEDBeacons Festival's organisers have listened carefully to your feedback and put in place a number of improvements to make the festival even better. There has been a substantial increase in the number of toilets, a new family camping field with its own facilities and the development of for the arts programme which includes more installations, film, photography, visual arts, and spoken word. For those who like a bit of rest while enjoying your music more seating has been added to the arena; there’s also good excuse to take a break as Beacon festival is now smashing out 24 hours of entertainment in the campsite -good job there is some quality food to keep you going.
LITTLE ONES"All visitors under 18 must be accompanied to Beacons Festival by a responsible parent/guardian over the age of 25. A maximum ratio of 1 adult to 4 under 18 's is allowed. Children aged 6 and under can go to Beacons Festival for free with a parent/guardian who has bought a ticket. Children aged 7-12 require a children's ticket."
BRING YOUR OWNBeacons Festival are happy for you to bring alcohol (up to two crates) to the campsite, and there will be a campsite bar for buying chilled cans – but you must consume them there.Beacons Festival supplements ticket prices using bar sales and therefore ask you not to bring your own alcohol into the arena. To try and keep the cost down for you happy hour runs from 11.30am – 12.30pm daily.
CAMPINGAll Beacons weekend ticket holders will be able to camp on the rolling hills of the Funkirk Estate, with parking, toilets and food vendors at an easy distance.
FAMILY CAMPINGThis is where the kids and parents Morning Breakfast Club is hosted.
QUIET CAMPINGThe quiet camping area will minimize disturbance from nearby revelers. This area is also first come first served, so get to the Beacons site early to get your pitch.
CAMPERVANSCampervans are permitted on site for an extra fee, spaces are limited to 150 vehicles, when they’re gone they’re gone.
PRE-ERECTED TENTSTangerine Fields supply tents for hire at Beacons Festival. Direct pre-booking is required.
ROADThe festival site is within an hour’s drive of Leeds, Manchester, Bradford, Harrogate and Burnley; with good A roads linking the majority of the way to the beautiful Skipton scenery. The site is really easy to get to coming off the A59. There will be a drop-off point located near to the car parks and box office.
BUSThere is a local bus services to and from Skipton.
TRAINThe closest train station to Beacons festival is Skipton rail station the station is accessible via regular services along the Airedale Line or the Settle-Carlisle line .
AIRThe closest airport is Leeds Bradford International Airport. The airport has a number of low cost budget airlines servicing from the UK and Europe.
