BoomTown is exactly that, for four days Matterley Estate experiences a rapid population growth to 13,000 people, but this is no conventional boom town drawing all and sundry with promises of precious resources such as gold, silver or oil, no this is BoomTown, a place populated by a select group of fancy dressed festivalers in search of the rarer commodities of exquisite music, art and theatre.Main stages include the Town Centre, Oldtown Theatre, and Arcadis while the Inna City has hangouts such as Luna Cinema, Funkington Manor and The Leisure Centre -which is more Rave-aeobrics than bikram yoga. The musical line-up cuts across genres but expect a healthy electronic heartbeat. While acoustically realigning yourself cabaret and comedy can be found as you stroll down the BoomTown streets.

When the beats are overwhelming you can retreat to Holditdown Town to regroup and watch the clouds pass by.
THE MATTERLEY BOWLThe Matterley Bowl is a long established entertainment site that was previously the home of Creamfields, Homelands, Sanctuary, Hi:Fi, Glade and now Boomtown Fair, this stunning location has over 15 years of event experience. The Bowl has been used for different types of events since 1998. It consists of a 50 acre natural amphitheatre that is so inspiring it was used by General Eisenhower to rally the troops before the D-Day landings during World War 2. Located just outside of Winchester within the Matterley Estate in the South Downs National Park, it offers an attractive backdrop for all types of outdoor events such as festivals, concerts, sporting occasions and non-licensed activities.
