Dinefwr Literature Festival, a celebration of words, music and landscape, returns to the stunning surroundings of Dinefwr Park and Castle in the heart of the Carmarthenshire countryside.
The three-day bilingual festival is back with an eclectic programme of national and international writers, award-winning poets and emerging English and Welsh literary talent, along with ground-breaking comedy, music, art, cinema, cabaret and creative activities for children. The weekend’s music is curated by SŴN’s John Rostron, who brought The Staves, Gruff Rhys and Ghostpoet to Dinefwr in 2012.TYPE OF TICKET | PRICE |

TICKETSBoth weekend and day tickets are available for the festival. Adult Weekend passes start at £45 for Earlybird and Locals bookings (Early Bird Tickets now on sale) which includes entrance to all festival events. After 1 March, Adult Weekend passes are £65, with a discount for National Trust, Cadw and Literature Wales members. Adult Day tickets start at £25; children under 5 go free, and weekend and day tickets for children aged 6-16 are £10 and £5 respectively. Camping tickets are additional: £20 per tent for a maximum of four people sharing and £30 for live-in vehicles; (£10 and £20 for Earlybird and Locals). CAMPINGThe campsite is located approximately 550 metres from the main festival site and is accessed along a country path . Each camping pitch is for up to a maximum of 4 people. The campsite has cold running water and toilets, please be aware that there are no showers on the campsite. The campsite must be vacated by 20:00 on Sunday. | LIVE - IN VEHICLESThis dedicated area is a 5 minute walk from the main campsite, where you can access the toilets and cold running water. Please be aware that the area designated for RV/motorhomes has very basic facilities only – the nearest toilets and cold running water are located on the nearby campsite. There are no showers on the campsite. |
ROADLlandeilo is easily accessible by car. If you’re travelling from south east Wales, Llandeilo can be easily reached from the M4. At the end of the M4 (at Pontabraham Services), take the A48 Cross Hands Carmarthen exit. Do not take the Llandeilo exit, to avoid traffic through Ammanford. At the next roundabout, take Llandeilo exit A476. From The West: follow the A40 via Carmarthen. From Mid Wales, follow the A483 via Llandovery. Please note that during the festival, traffic to the site may be directed slightly differently, simply follow signs for Llandeilo from all directions, the festival will be signposted. Dinefwr Park is also signposted with brown signs from all directions.BUSFor bus timetables servicing the Carmarthen area (including Llandeilo) you should consult Carmarthenshire County Council Travel. | RAILLlandeilo railway station is part of the on the Heart of Wales Line. There are four trains a day in each direction southbound to Swansea and northbound to Shrewsbury from Monday to Saturday, and two services on Sundays.AIRThe closest major airport to Swansea, United Kingdom is Cardiff Airport (CWL / EGFF) and is served by major airlines to Europe including: Flybe, Aer Lingus, KLM, Air France and Citywing. |
