THE LAUNDRY"The Laundry is a relatively new space in Hackney, located just off Mare Street and London Fields. This space is the result of a developer and Ed O'Brien of Radiohead looking to establish a ‘creative hub’, showcasing the very best in music, art and performance. The venue is a good mixed use space and has added to the burgeoning a creative community spilling out across Hackney. The good news is hasn’t yet become a magnet for the vapid gentrified hipster crowd; which is rapidly absorbing East London. If you get down early there is a pretty good deli/coffee shop just across from the Benefits place." | OSLOOslo is a new place which has just opened up at Hackney Central. Drawing on a Nordic aesthetic, Oslo is bring something a little different to Hackney. Offering top quality food and drink alongside an exciting music programme in a redeveloped railway station, Fin! hopefully there's some smoked Moose sausage on that menu.dollop run a Saturday night event at Oslo so no worries on this one. |
