After a few rocky years which saw Merthyr Rock take some time off, it's back!Expect more information to come out of the Orchard Entertainment camp soon with early line-up information expected on the 16th April. With tickets going on sale from the 17th April. More infomation as soon as we have it.

ROADFrom Cardiff / M4: M4, J 32 Follow signs for Merthyr Tydfil (A470) approx 18 miles north At Merthyr, go straight across 1st roundabout (Pentrebach). At 2nd roundabout go straight on At roundabout (with Cyfarthfa Retail Park on your right hand side) take the 3rd exit. Go straight over next roundabout. At traffic lights take a left and follow road to the end. At the mini roundabout take a left and then immediately right in through the main park gates. From Swansea / A465: Leave A483 and head straightforward onto Fabian Way (A483). Enter the roundabout and leave at the 1. Exit onto B4290. Enter the roundabout and leave at the 2. Exit onto A465. Stay on A465 You are entering Merthyr Tydfil. Leave A465 and head straightforward onto Heads of the Valleys Road (A465). Enter the roundabout and leave at the 3. exit onto A470 At the roundabout take a left Go straight over next roundabout. At traffic lights take a left and follow road to the end. At the mini roundabout take a left and then immediately right in through the main park gates.
BUSThe main operator of public transport in Merthyr Tydfil is Stagecoach. The company operate local services as well as services to Cardiff. Ypu can book coaches from across the UK to Cardiff.
RAILMerthyr Tydfil rail station has a half-hourly service to and from Cardiff Central on weekdays and Saturdays. Trains continue onwards to Barry and then alternately to either Barry Island or Bridgend via the Vale of Glamorgan Line. On Sundays there is a two-hourly service from Barry Island and to Bridgend via the Vale of Glamorgan Line. It might be an idea to take an alternative route.
AIRThe nearest major airport to the Merthyr Rock festival site is Cardiff Airport (CWL / EGFF). This airport has international and domestic flights it is 35 miles from the center of Merthyr Tydfil.
