For one weekend a year, the rolling hills of the Peak District becomes home to the Y Not Festival. Y Not is the Small, Fresh and Loud music festival, with a fantastic atmosphere and a commitment to amazing live acts.Y Not is about the music. The line-up is crammed with renowned artists, emerging talents and the cream of the crop of local talent. With music from across the musical spectrum there's a good chance you'll go home with a list of new bands to catch-up on. If you want a proper music festival then Y Not Festival has to be on your summer "must do" list. Oh! Don't forget your fancy dress gear -it's not all serious.

AWARDSWith a nomination for Best Medium Festival, The Grassroots Festival Award and Best Toilets in the 2013 UK Festival Awards, Y NOT are not resting on their recent award winning festivals. They picked up the 2012 UKF award for best small festival and the 2011 UKF awards for Best Toilets and The Grassroots Festival award. Not bad for a festival that only had 120 attendees in 2005!
GLAMPINGThere is GLAMPING options provided by a third party provider, the cost of any Bell Tent you hire is an addiotn to the festival ticket cost.
FAMILY CAMPINGIf you're taking your little ones or you don’t want to be next a party tent, then this is for you. The Family Campsite is close to the car park to make getting your stuff to your pitch easier.
QUIET CAMPINGIf you want to get away from it and sleep for a bit then this is where you want to be. No party tents or families, an oasis in the madness.
CAMPERVANS / CARAVANSThe caravan and campervan area is separated from the main arena and campsite. There is an additional charge and you need purchase Y NOT FESTIVAL CAMPERVAN & CARAVAN TICKETS to secure a pitch.
ROADPikehall is located East of Matlock off the A6 and South of Buxton and North of Ashborne off the A515.
BUSY Not Festival organise a shuttle bus that takes festival goers from the rail stations to the festival. The details of the shuttle service is put on their Facebook page closer to the date, you need Y NOT FESTIVAL SHUTTLE BUS TICKETS beforehand. There are no public bus services that run to the site.
RAILBuxton and Matlock rail stations are close to the Y NOT Festival site with services from across the Midlands and connecting trains to the rest of the UK. Don't forget to book tiockets for the Y Not Festival shuttle bus to get the site easily.
AIRNottingham Internation al airport is the closest airport with flights from across the UK and mainland Europe.
