The Great Escape (TGE) is a new music festival that showcases emerging artists from all over the world. Over 350 up and coming bands play in 30 venues across Brighton. You should always think of it as one of the first places to discover your new favourite band and see them in an intimate setting before they make it big.The Great Escape is also attended by the music industry who are also on the hunt for next big thing. The TGE convention runs alongside the gigs and features insightful panels, topical debates and keynote speeches -There are separate tickets and accommodation for convention delegates.If you love music then this is the place to be in May.

BRIGHTON DOMEIn addition to over 350 acts across the 30 venues there are additional shows at the Brighton Dome. These shows require additional tickets and are not included in the wristband venues.
PLAYYou can apply to play at The Great Escape, registration is free and can be done via The Great Escape website.
THE CONVENTIONThe Great Escape presents the UK’s leading music business convention, bringing together thousands of music industry practitioners for three days of insight sessions, panels, conversations, networking and parties every May, in Brighton.A Great Escape delegate pass gets you access to all the core strands of the convention, including insight sessions, panels, conversations, networking events and parties, plus priority access into all festival venues subject to capacity.
JOURNEYS HOSTELJourneys Hostel is the official festival accommodation partner for The Great Escape 2014. Beds are available in dorms of sizes 6, 12, 15 and 18. You will need to book directly with Journeys Hostel.
ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATIONThere are alternative hostels, hotels and B&B's throughout Brighton.
ROADBrighton is 45 minutes from the M25 London motorway. From M25, take the M23/A23 to Brighton & Hove. Coastal route A27 links the city east and west.
BUSExpress coaches from London to Brighton take about 2 hours. National Express services run to Brighton from across the UK.
RAILBrighton rail station has regular trains from London and across the south coast.
AIRLondon Gatwick International Airport is the closest airport to Brighton, approximately 30 minutes away.
